Why we started this blog. Bridging Cleaning and Environmental Health.
When we decided to start a cleaning business, we wanted to do something meaningful. Early on, we noticed a gap between the general cleaner and the environmental specialist — a space where practical cleaning knowledge meets scientific understanding. We decided to fill that gap by creating an operations model that extends the company’s services into a sub-specialization of environmental health. This effort includes basic environmental testing such as ATP (surface hygiene), EMF, water quality, air quality, and, mold identification. These tools help us see beyond what’s visible and understand the overall condition of a building.
If COVID-19 taught us anything, it’s that as service providers on the front lines of sanitation and cross-contamination control, we cannot stand down among the many variables that can affect building health. We cannot wait until situations appear and then react with limited resources — prevention and awareness must come first.
In our opinion, every cleaning company and every building manager should have access to a Building Health Measurement Kit — a set of tools and simple testing methods to measure, judge, and identify potential unhealthy situations before they become serious problems. Because in the end, cleaning isn’t just about maintaining appearances — it’s about protecting people, promoting awareness, and keeping our shared spaces truly healthy.
In the following General submissions I will put forward an idea of what could make a Building Health Measurement Kit. Our goal is to start a conversation that extends into practical application of common sense insights. I invite you to share your insights into our conversation.
